Silent Witness -
Sunrise Meditation and Yoga

Pratyahara - This practice is traditionally known as the practice of 'withdrawing the senses', so that we may be able to restrain the impulse to follow our senses outwards, and to go within instead.

This is a very important precursor to meditation and is why participants are invited to arrive quietly to stand or sit in silent visual meditation and watch a sunrise together.

Silent Witness sunrise meditation and yoga events have been designed to assist you to bring you into your own sacred space to watch the day unfolding without guidance or direction.

Often aligned with New Year’s Day, a full or new moon (and in the warmer months) we gather to watch the new day unfolding as it offers a wonderful time for you to plant new seeds of thought, start new projects or bring new energy into a long-term goal or dream and to commence your process forward with expansive clarity and vision.

After witnessing this most glorious start to the day, we will move through energetic Dru Yoga practices such as Surya Namaskar - sun salutation and the salutation to the four directions, both introduced to send our 'new' intentions far and wide with the abundance of morning earth energy behind them to carry our dreams forward.

Exact meeting point and arrival instructions (to help you to ground easily into the silent meditation) are advised by email upon registering and it is important that that these be read and acknowledged before your attendance.

The experience and withdrawal of the senses (speech, touch, engaging) will help you to attune more deeply with your innermost connection to Self. This sets a powerful intention alight within you and will assist you to realise your dreams more fully.

I have been watching sunrises with intention for over 30 years now and it is my heartfelt desire to share this experience with you. If you feel drawn to join me, please do book in or be in touch.

Please bring a yoga mat for outdoor practice (one you won't mind getting dirty), water to drink, warmer clothes for the cooler sunrise meditation and most importantly sunscreen.
